Traditional Recipe For Spaghetti Bolognese

– 1 lb (450g) ground beef – 1 onion, finely chopped – 2 cloves garlic, minced – 1 carrot, grated – 1 celery stalk, finely chopped – 1 can (14 oz/400g) crushed tomatoe – 2 tbsp tomato paste – 1 cup beef broth – 1 tsp dried oregano – 1 tsp dried basil – Salt and pepper to taste – Olive oil for cooking – 1 lb (450g) spaghetti


In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until softened. 


Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned. 


Stir in grated carrot and chopped celery, cook for a few minutes until vegetables are tender. 


Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.  


Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. 


Serve the Bolognese sauce over the cooked spaghetti. Optionally, garnish with grated Parmesan cheese.
