Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipes

– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened – 1 cup granulated sugar – 1 cup packed brown sugar – 2 large egg – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 3 cups all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 2 cups semisweet chocolate chip


Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper. 


In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and packed brown sugar until light and fluffy. 


Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract. 


In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.  


Fold in the semisweet chocolate chips. 


Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
